Automotive Service Excellence
The National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is recognized around the world as the leader in testing automotive technicians. To receive one ASE Certification, a technician must first have 2 years experience in diagnosing and repairing in 1 of the 8 automotive areas. Once the experience criteria is met, the technician may take an ASE qualification test in that area. Once passed, the technician is then given an ASE Certification in a specific area (example: ASE Certification in Brakes). These certifications are good for 4 years and then the technician must be recertified. This recertification allows for update testing on the new automotive systems as they are introduced into automobiles |
